2nd Anniversary of Act 470

August 1, 2024 -2nd Anniversary of Act 470 - The Jean & Elise Act.

The law restores access upon demand to Louisiana born adopted people at age 24 to their original birth certificate.
Since the enactment of the law, 1504 adopted people have received their original birth certificates!

Our continued gratitude and deep appreciation to State Representative Charles “Chuck” Owen for carrying this bill and his dedication to restoring the rights of adopted people.
